As a company committed to R+D+i, Elèctrica Pintó has received the seal of recognition as an Innovative SME thanks to our innovative character for the development of new products such as our own CLP600 chlorine analyzer or the development of a bank of tests for drinking water treatment equipment, among others.
The City Council of Seva has inaugurated on Wednesday, June 8, the remodeling of the Fontanelles WWTP that supplies drinking water to the municipality itself. The event was attended by Maria Anna Pineda, Mayor of Seva, and also by Núria Rivera, Councilor for the Environment and Renewable Energies, who chaired and led the event. The inauguration was carried out with the aim of explaining and disseminating among the neighborhood the need and benefits of economic investment in these improvements to municipal equipment, and especially to raise awareness of the cost and complexity of having a as basic as drinking water is. Various actions have been taken, such as the improvement of the pre-treatment system in the coagulation and oxidation chamber, the renewal of the chemical treatment process, the improvement of the product storage and dosing system, the automation of the filters and, finally, the rehabilitation and structural adaptation of the decanter. Currently, the plant also has a remote control system that allows you to monitor and control the various processes remotely and in real time. All these actions of improvement and automation will allow to increase the efficiency of the plant and to lower its cost of operation. It will also be possible to minimize the effective time that municipal operators have to dedicate to make adjustments manually and in person to the different processes of the plant with the consequent cost for the council. Stops at the ETAP will also be avoided due to the inability to carry out the appropriate treatment of the catchment water due to periods of drought and poor quality of the catchment water. This remodeling has been carried out by Elèctrica Pintó, a company founded in 1974, based in Santpedor and specializing in electro-hydraulic installations and drinking water treatment.
On May 4, 2019, Catalana de Perforacions and Elèctrica Pintó celebrated the 50th anniversary of its beginnings in a party that has gathered more than 400 people in the facilities that the Aquacenter Group has in Santpedor. Workers, collaborators and customers, among others, have been able to enjoy a day to celebrate and thank the past, present and future of the companies of the group. The attendees included the presence of the Honorable Mrs. Àngels Chacón (Councilor of Enterprise and Knowledge), Mrs. Bàrbara Minoves (Director of the Territorial Services of Enterprise and Knowledge in Central Catalonia), the Most Excellent Mr. Xavier Codina (Mayor of Santpedor), Mr. Agustí Comas (President of Consell Comarcal Bages), Mr. Eloi Hernàndez (Mayor of Fonollosa) and Mr. David Bonvehí (President of PDECat and neighbor of Fonollosa). The event began at 10:30 in the morning with a day of open doors for its facilities, where all visitors could see all the offices and ships of the group and see different demonstrations of the activities that the companies of the group carry out. At 12:30 the speeches were made by the authorities present at the event, by Josep Casellas (one of the founding members of PICABASAN who over the years would become Catalana de Perforacions) and Esteve Pintó; son of Josep Pintó (also founding partner of PICABASAN), managing partner of the group companies and President of PIMEC Catalunya Central. Then, everyone enjoyed a copious appetizer enlivened with an audiovisual that has collected the history of the group and its companies since its inception. Finally, the entry of a cake for all attendees has given way to the closing of the act. From Catalana de Perforacions, Elèctrica Pintó and the rest of the group’s companies, we would like to thank all those who in one way or another have made this project possible that has reached 50 years of experience and faces the future with a lot of energy and ilusion. Thank you very much to all!
