03/13/2026Vistabella del Maestrat, the highest village in the Valencian Community, stands at 1,249 metres above sea level. Its karst landscape requires extremely precise water management, especially in the context of climate change and rural depopulation. Digitising the water network has enabled the municipality to gain more control, reduce leaks and manage the system based on real data. This article explains the process and the results achieved. Remote readings to detect leaks before they escalate Many homes in Vistabella remain closed for months. With old mechanical meters and only one annual reading, leaks could go unnoticed for long periods. The introduction of ultrasonic smart meters —such as flowIQ 3200 and flowIQ 2200— now allows: remote and more frequent readings, real-time anomaly detection, no need to access private homes, reduced water losses. These meters have no moving parts and maintain their accuracy for up to 16 years. Centralised SCADA control to avoid constant travel Before SCADA, operators had to travel long distances across mountain roads to inspect pumps, wells and tanks. Now, the entire network can be monitored and controlled from a single interface: pump start/stop, tank levels, well status, alarms and consumption. This not only optimises resources but also reduces emissions. A project aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals The project directly supports: SDG 6: Clean water and sanitation SDG 13: Climate action In an area threatened by desertification, saving water is essential. Recovering the Azor II well: precision engineering in a karst environment Azor II suffered from severe incrustation and turbidity issues. The recovery process included: mechanical cleaning, descaling treatments, camera inspections, installing a bell to reduce turbidity, adjusting the flow to 0.8 l/s. The efficiency improvement is significant: from a 30 kW pump to a 4 kW one. Ensuring water quality with digital chlorination and descaling Digital systems now regulate: chlorine dosing, adjustments based on sensors, descaling units in Alforí and Castell tanks. These measures protect the network and ensure safe water. Conclusion Vistabella del Maestrat shows how innovation can strengthen water resilience in rural areas. By combining technology and good engineering, the municipality has achieved a safer and more efficient system.
01/15/2026The Xmas Meeting Day 2025 was much more than a year-end gathering. It became a space for connection between people, teams and companies that, from different areas of expertise, share a common project and a shared way of understanding our work. Throughout the day, professionals and colleagues from Elèctrica Pintó, Catalana de Perforacions, Catalana Drilling, Perforaciones e Hincas, Domini Ambiental, Gestió Solar Sostenible, Webdom Labs, Comelsa, URVEN and all the Aquacenter Group took part in shared activities. This diversity of technical profiles and fields of activity is, in fact, one of the group’s greatest strengths. Away from the usual working environment, the activities encouraged cross-functional collaboration, informal communication and creativity—key elements that later translate into improved coordination in the real projects we develop together. These types of gatherings strengthen corporate culture and help to understand the group as an ecosystem in which each company contributes specific expertise, while all move forward aligned towards a common goal: delivering high-quality, efficient and sustainable technical solutions. At Elèctrica Pintó, we highly value these shared spaces, as they consolidate internal relationships and enable us to face new challenges with a global and cohesive vision.
03/12/2025At Elèctrica Pintó, we have always been committed to innovation and sustainability as fundamental pillars of our work. That is why we are very proud to be part of the Manresa Il·lumina project, a pioneering initiative that promotes shared self-consumption in the Bufalvent industrial estate, in Manresa. This business energy community has started an ambitious project to install solar panels on the roofs of several partner companies, with the aim of producing clean energy, reducing costs and promoting the energy transition. A collaborative model for a more sustainable future This project not only allows participating companies to generate their own energy in a more efficient and economical way, but also encourages collaboration between different sectors and companies to achieve a real energy transition. The Manresa Illumina Business Energy Community, formed by several companies committed to the environment, has begun the installation of solar panels with a total power of 1,033 kWp, covering 10 company roofs in a first phase of the project. With an investment of €645,000, this project will not only help reduce the energy costs of companies, but will also contribute to greater energy independence and the reduction of CO2 emissions. The role of Elèctrica Pintó in the project At Elèctrica Pintó, we have been selected as the winner of part of this project, contributing our experience and specialization in electrical and energy installations. From our experience in the electrohydraulic installations and renewable energies sector, we have actively collaborated in the implementation of this solar panel system, offering customized and high-quality technical solutions. These types of initiatives are a clear example of the path we want to follow at Elèctrica Pintó: helping companies and public administrations to adapt to current energy challenges, always with a focus on sustainability and efficiency. A collaborative future for companies in the Bufalvent industrial estate The installation of solar panels in the Bufalvent industrial estate will not only benefit the participating companies from an economic point of view, but also represents a major step towards the energy transition that society needs. The business energy community is a model that can be multiplied and extended to other industrial estates, allowing more companies to take advantage of renewable energies and guarantee a cleaner and more efficient energy future. At Elèctrica Pintó, we will continue to bet on innovative and sustainable projects like this, always with the aim of increasing energy efficiency and contributing to the creation of a more sustainable world for future generations. ________________________________________ Conclusion The Manresa Il·lumina project is a clear example of how companies can work together to generate cleaner and more profitable energy solutions. At Elèctrica Pintó, we are proud to be part of this great step towards a collaborative and sustainable energy model.
